Scott Walter Talks About Arabella with Bob Harden

CRC’s Scott Walter recently appeared on Bob Harden Show to talk about his latest book, Arabella: The Dark Money Network of Leftist Billionaires Secretly Transforming America.

The Arabella Network is organized with the for-profit consulting firm Arabella Advisors at the top, while underneath it exists half-a-dozen nonprofit entities that are managed by the firm. Below these 501(c)(3)’s and 501(c)(4)’s exist over 500 small projects acting as grassroots movements seeking to influence policymakers and the public that are controlled by the nonprofit groups. Such a system would receive millions in donations from left-leaning billionaires such as Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and even lesser-known individuals like Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss. Through the millions donated from these billionaires, the money can be passed along between the nonprofits and smaller projects designed to push for left-of-center policy advocacy in healthcare, education, environmental and electoral reform. During the 2020 election cycle alone, over $2 billion in dark money was funneled through the network, more than the RNC and DNC combined that year, with the network raking roughly $3 billion in the 2022 election cycle.
