MoveOn… I Wish You Would

A new appeal from prosperity-hating folks at MoveOn claims that Republicans are lying about Obama’s plan for fixing the economy by funding “clean” energy.

The lie in question?  Apparently, Republicans have the audicity to call energy legislation, like cap and trade, a “tax.”  MoveOn argues that this lie must not be allowed to win out and kill the legislation.

This raises an important question.  Cap and trade will create a new, government collected fee from companies.  The government will then use the money collected to put towards developing renewable energy sources.  What in the world should we call it when the government takes money from individuals and companies?  Good will?  Fun money?

It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.  It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.    It’s a tax.

MoveOn, I certainly wish you would.
