Labor Disrupts Senate Hearing on Card Check


Organized labor recently disrupted a Senate committee hearing on “card check,” the legislation that would take away the democratic right to a secret ballot on whether to join a union. In a disgraceful breach of congressional decorum, the chairman of the committee, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), allowed union supporters to applaud during his presentation March 10:
