Another Tax Scandal with an Obama Cabinet Nominee?

The Senate confirmation process has been put on hold for Rep. Hilda Solis (D-California), President Obama’s nominee to be secretary of Labor.

Solis’s husband reportedly has outstanding tax liens against him, the Washington Post reports. Given that it’s the husband and not the nominee with the problem, it’s unclear what impact the controversy will have on the nomination.
