The Wall Street Journal Features CRC’s Work Again

The Architects of Woke videos have been viewed nearly 2 million times.

Yesterday, Wall Street Journal columnist William McGurn featured CRC’s Architects of Woke video series in his weekly “Main Street” column. The former George W. Bush speechwriter specifically pointed to our video that exposes Stokely Carmichael’s violent views and the objectionable origins of “institutional racism.” (See a PDF of the column here.)

McGurn also quoted CRC president Scott Walter about how Architects of Woke is constantly changing how people view the relationship between violence and speech:

“Radical mobs on campuses call speech they don’t like ‘violence,’” says Scott Walter of the Capital Research Center. “Radical mobs in the streets call their violence ‘speech.’ Either way, instead of highlighting the difference between peaceful protesters and rioters, they want to erase it.”

McGurn also references the New York Times’s heavily criticized 1619 Project, which alleges the central event in the founding of the United States was the first importation of enslaved Africans to Virginia in 1619, not the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The 1619 Project’s Fake History, the most recent Architects of Woke video, calls out many of the factual errors in the Pulitzer Prize-winning activism.

Architects of Woke takes aim at far-left postmodernist and Marxist thinkers and activists responsible for spreading identity politics from college campuses to society at large. To date, the project’s videos have been viewed nearly 2 million times, and The 1619 Project’s Fake History has nearly 550,000 of those views.
