In honor of Labor Day, here’s a still relevant video from the CRC Archive:
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is the single largest contributor to federal political candidates in the United States. In total, the SEIU and its associated political action committees have spent over $270 million on federal politics and over $67 million on state and local partisan political campaigns, almost exclusively on behalf of Democrats and progressive causes.
Like all unions, the SEIU has a vested interest in enacting policies that will help them increase their membership and increase their dues collection, and they’re willing to be aggressive to make those things happen.
On this Labor Day we express support for employees, not their dues collector the SEIU.
