Schadenfreude and Sandra Bernhard

Schadenfreude is in order.

After the spectacularly unfunny entertainer Sandra Bernhard joked in her routine here last month that if GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin came to Manhattan she would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers,” a Boston women’s shelter told Bernhard not to bother headlining at its fundraising dinner October 16.

“In light of our mission, we don’t think violence against women is a laughing matter,” said Rosie’s Place public relations director Leemarie Mosca.
