We are pleased to announce the release of the new 2008 Capital Research Center Guide to Nonprofit Advocacy.

This handy directory provides capsule information on about 100 of the most important nonprofit public affairs and advocacy organizations shaping U.S. politics and society today. Created and compiled by Capital Research Center GreenWatch executive director James Dellinger, the Guide lists each group’s contact information (including website addresses), cites the most recent IRS data available to review the groups’ annual revenues, and provides bullet points about the groups’ activities.

Public interest and advocacy groups play important roles in U.S. politics. Even though the law prohibits 501(c)(3) nonprofits from lobbying and political spending, this year nonprofits are working diligently through 501(c)(4) and 527 affiliates and umbrella groups to pass laws and elect candidates.

Copies are available for $15 each at the CRC Amazon bookstore via the Shop@CRC button on our homepage.
