LIVE at 7 pm: “3rd Party Money and Influence” Zoom Forum

Greenwich, CT: CRC’s Scott Walter attending as a subject matter expert

Greenwich, CT: Today there will be a Zoom forum on “Future of Greenwich Elections: 3rd Party Money and Influence” at 7 pm Eastern. This townwide conversation will be hosted by Greenwich resident Susan Schieffelin and Ed Lopez, a member of the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting. Also attending will be subject matter experts Scott Walter, president of the Capital Research Center, and Jason Snead of the Honest Elections Project.

Background

The Greenwich Representative Town Meeting is scheduled to vote on March 13, 2023, on a proposal to accept $500,000 from the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL) for election administration.

CTCL has been sharply criticized for funneling $350 million from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to local election offices for the 2020 election, effectively privatizing the 2020 presidential election. Analysis of the CTCL grants indicates they were concentrated on Democratic jurisdictions in battleground states and had the effect of “juicing” the Democratic vote.
