ACU and TheTeaParty.net Announce CoSponsorship of CPAC Alaskan Cruise in August 2011

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The American Conservative Union (ACU) and TheTeaParty.net (TTP) are pleased to announce their strategic partnership on the CPAC Cruise to Alaska.

Open to all conservatives, the CPAC Alaskan Cruise begins on August 27, 2011, in Seattle, Washington and traces the Inside Passage to Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchikan Passage of Alaska, ending on September 3, 2011.  The cruise will take place aboard Holland America Lines’ ms Westerdam.

“CPAC has always welcomed new and enthusiastic American voters to the conservative movement, from the Christian Coalition to the Tea Party.  This is a time to unite and discuss our common commitment to our country in one of the country’s most spectacular settings, the Alaskan Inner Passage,” said Al Cardenas, Chairman of the ACU.

Announced speakers include the 13th and 21st U.S. Secretary of Defense and former Congressman Donald Rumsfeld, author of Known and Unknown; former Chairman of the Florida Republican Party and newly elected Chairman of ACU Al Cardenas; and Chairman Emeritus of ACU and President of the National Rifle Association David A. Keene; and Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform.

Co-Founder of TheTeaParty.net Todd Cefaratti said, “We’re so pleased to offer this opportunity for activists to learn from veteran conservatives while vacationing. My family and I are already looking forward to this unique experience.”

Other cruise speakers will be announced soon. For more information on itinerary, speakers, the ship or to book this cruise, visit www.cpaccruise.com or call 1-800-707-1634.  Participation in any CPAC Cruise activities requires a booking through The Cruise Authority.

The American Conservative Union (ACU) is the nation’s oldest and largest conservative grassroots organization, and hosts CPAC “on land,” the almost 40-year old Conservative Political Action Conference, which topped 11,000 attendees in February 2011.  The CPAC Cruise harks back to the days when CPAC was smaller, with time to meet every speaker and ask questions.

Founded in 2009, TheTeaParty.net (TTP) is one of the nation’s largest Tea Party organizations. Devoted to providing educational and leadership resources to local organizations, TheTeaParty.net offers free tools, including a national calendar, free virtual and location-specific events, promotes like-minded organizations and helps them grow, and provides a Washington presence to assist Tea Party-oriented legislators to educate and expand their reach on issues of importance to the Tea Party movement.  Through the Internet, we the people have a larger voice and our goal is to remain a virtual town hall for voters and families across America. With almost a 1,000,000 hits a month and more than 300,000 members and growing, TheTeaParty.net is a powerful tool to drive the truly grassroots Tea Party movement to ensure America’s continued greatness.
